A family run business right from the beginning, Microtechs are a fully 24/7/365 UK based operation with a passion for Technology. We provide scalable, flexible and affordable helpdesk services for MSP’s, Software Developers, ISP’s, Distributors and more.

All based from our head office in Guildford, Surrey, Microtechs are one of the UK’s leading providers of Outsourced IT Services.

MEET THE TEAM

Matt Hams

Service Delivery Manager

Matt is Microtechs newest addition to the team. Joining us with over 13 years of service desk experience, Matt looks after the help desk team and ensures they are working to the best of their ability and meeting our clients SLA’s.

Outside of Microtechs, Matt enjoys travelling. He has recently returned from Luxembourg. He has a pet Gecko called Mystique.

 

 

Rhys Turner

Solutions Manager

Rhys has been a member of the Microtechs Sales team since the end of 2017. He quickly found his position within the company working closely with the Direct IT side of the Microtechs portfolio.

Rhys enjoys frequenting the gym and posting on Reddit in his spare time.

 

Jonny Keats

Projects Manager

Jonny joined us at the end of 2015 as a Project Co-ordinator. He quickly developed his technical capabilities and became a real asset to the Microtechs team. Jonny is well liked by all of our clients and he is a real team player. Nothing is too much trouble.

In his spare time, Jonny enjoys spending time with his family and baby son. He is a keen ice hockey follower and knows his way around a computer.

Dawn

Accounts

Dawn joined the team back in 2016 as our own Miss Alabama, looking after all the company accounts. She knows her numbers! Native to the States, Dawn enjoys travelling home in her spare time.

Lisa Copley

Sales Director

Lisa works on developing Microtech’s proposition in both the UK and in the US. She finds solutions and tailors services to meet the requirements of our growing customer base across a number of platforms. Having spent over 10 years working within sales, it was a natural progression to appoint Lisa as Sales Director in 2019.

Lisa is a BA graduate of Christchurch University & The University of Kent and joined Microtechs early 2013 after having twins.

Lisa has a passion for music and is always smiling.

Neil Cross

Client Services Director
Neil joined the team following a successful career as a Quality manager and has an extensive quality control and account management experience. Within Microtechs he is our Client Services Director, managing a number of our corporate clients, providing them with a daily service and target analysis to ensure all service standards are met and excelled. Neil works closely with our clients to ensure our high standards are maintained.

He is a keen fair weather golfer and occasionally likes to travel.

Alex Maggs

Operations Director

Alex has been with the business for over 4 years, working as both a support agent and Technical Manager. In 2012 he became Operations Director, where he works on creating and improving our processes and procedures, running the day to day operations of the business and is also overseeing our internal training programme. Outside of this work, Alex is also one of our onsite technical managers and specialises in mac’s and other apple products. He is rapidly grasping the new direction of the business and works on ensuring we deliver what we say we will deliver through precise and detailed reporting analysis.

Alex is also Pip the office dog’s primary carer. Pip is a 9 year old Jack russel who is partial to the odd chicken nugget.

Jonathan Hill

Managing Director

Jonathan has significant experience of providing IT and desktop support, within both small local companies and major international corporations.

Earlier roles include IT Support Manager of Redemtech Inc and IT Executive of Tchibo Coffee International. Jonathan has several IT qualifications and joined us as Operations Director of Instep Consultancy in 2011, becoming Managing Director towards the end of 2012, Jonathan oversees every aspect of the business and works very closely with our clients ensuring we can tailor a solution to them. He is passionate about providing exceptional customer service and client satisfaction and will not settle for less.

Outside of working non-stop to keep track of the 24/7 business operations, he appreciates good food, home entertainment and vacations in the US. Jonathan is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.

Outsourcing support can be a minefield, and Microtechs have many years’ experience successfully rolling out support to our clients.

It’s not always been plain sailing and we have learned, adjusted and developed our processes along the way to provide a seamless transition for your customers.

We spend time with you, we learn what you do and how you do it. We use the systems you use and we learn to understand your customers specific needs. Continually training specialist groups of technical agents to support your customers as you would. Our vision is to become part of your team, which enables us to ensure your customers would not feel lost, as they could, in a huge offshore call centre.

We are excited by technology and love learning new products and systems. This combined with our excellent customer service focus and the passion to help and resolve issues means that we can always be those extra pairs of hands when you need us, night or day.

Based in the heart of Surrey we can upscale and use the technically focused talent available locally from the technology centre and university. Finding perfect candidates that are kind and courteous on the telephone, we focus on training internally developing and nurturing our employees. We enjoy working with technology enthusiasts and have several apprenticeship schemes running.

Our ultimate ambition is to provide an excellent experience for your customers, to quickly identify issues and resolve them. This provides an overall improvement in their support journey whilst simultaneously saving you the expensive of resourcing for the service in house.
